Gaby Esquivel

Gaby Esquivel, staff reporter

Gaby Esquivel is a second staffer on the Shield. This year she is excited to continue her involvement at MacJ and further strengthen her writing skills. She plans to write more stories about the issues that surround McCallum students. Esquivel always knew she loved writing from a young age, but it was Mr. Winter’s photojournalism class that really sparked her interest in reporting and journalism. Her favorite genres to write are people and A&E, specifically movie reviews. Feature stories are another one of her favorites because she finds interest in getting to know people on a personal level. While Esquivel isn’t interviewing or writing stories, you can find her crocheting various stuffed animals or watching movies of her favorite superhero: Spider-man.
