DENSITY IS CALLING: Then sophomores, now rising seniors Amelia Paul and Mia Terminella ask chemistry teacher Robert Lehman a question regarding a density lab during their third-period chemistry class on Aug. 23, 2017. The focus of the lab was to explore how sugar and water could portray different levels of density. “We could always count on Mr. Lehman to help us and answer questions,” Paul said. Then junior, now graduate, Lexi Battle, Lehmans classroom aide, demonstrated a density experiment while the students in the class completed a measurement lab. Battle explained that each colored liquid was denser than the previous color because it contained more sugar and less water.
