Shayla Allen is a freshman in digital media. She has reported for the article “Stepping Out of Their Comfort Zone” and authored a piece on the free tuition program at ACC. Throughout her year in the digital media class, Shayla has particularly enjoyed interviewing individuals and exploring the various activities available at McCallum. She is a UIL district champion in Lincoln-Douglas debate and a member of the McCallum cheer team. Outside of school, Shayla is active in BBYO, participates in charity work for Caritas and teaches piano to beginner students.
