The Shield Online

Sarah Slaten

Senior Sarah Slaten has been on staff for two years, and is the current sports editor and co-copy editor. She has been awarded Best of Sno on five of her stories, and during her years in photojournalism, 3 of Sarah's pictures for the workxfamily competition won National Excellence Awards. Sarah loves rowing, her pets and writing and sharing her opinion exclusively in that order. Since joining the journalism team three years ago, Sarah has made it her chief goal to get rowing in the yearbook. Sarah plans to major in Biochemistry in college, and hopes that she can continue writing in some way, shape or form even after she leaves The Shield.
