Luka Alvarez-Scarborough, El Escudo staff
Senior Luka Alvarez-Scarborough is a first-year staffer for El Escudo. Throughout his first year, he has contributed to a variety of articles covering cultural identity, social issues, student wellness, and local cuisine. The Chilean/Texan writer has contributed his perspective through his heritage to many bilingual El Escudo articles. Outside of El Escudo Alvarez has participated in varsity soccer. He plans to attend the University of Texas at Austin and pursue a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Estudiante de cuarto año Luka Alvarez-Scarborough es personal de noticiero de primer año con El Escudo. A lo largo de su primer año, ha contribuido a una variedad de artículos sobre identidad cultural, problemas sociales, bienestar estudiantil, y comida local. El escritor Chileno/Tejano ha contribuido con su perspectiva a través de su herencia muchos artículos bilingües de El Escudo. Fuera de El Escudo, Alvarez participó en el equipo de fútbol de varsity. Planea ir a la Universidad de Texas en Austin y obtener una licenciatura en Ingeniería Civil.
