Every Monday after soccer practice, I go to Tyson’s Tacos with my mom. Tyson’s is a popular taco spot, known for being open 24/7 and having over 28 different tacos.
Recently, the birria tacos have become pretty popular, and they are now one of my go-to orders there.

On this particular Monday, I arrived at 6 p.m., and there was little to no line. This is a typical wait time in my experience, with a three-minute wait the longest I have experienced. They took my order quickly and handed me my horchata as soon as I ordered it.
I sat down at a table in the covered wooden patio. Only outdoor seating is available, but I highly recommend it because of its peaceful atmosphere. There are plants all over the place, and LED lights make the place look alive and comfortable. The walls of the restaurant are filled with funky stickers and flyers. You have a nice view of Airport Boulevard and some chill jazz music while you wait for your food. It is usually around a five-minute wait (I never go when it’s too busy). I ordered two birria tacos and a horchata, so the total came out to $13.49 plus tax. Each taco was $5.25, and the horchata $2.99.
The tacos were crispy but at the same time soft, the cheese melted perfectly, and the brisket was juicy, topped with onions and cilantro added the perfect tang. The sauce on the side is perfect to dip into to make the flavor richer. It tends to fall apart or spill out, so watch out. I recommend getting the horchata; it’s not too sweet and so refreshing, especially for a hot day. You can tell it’s not powder and homemade, and it makes it 10 times better.
I’d rate it a 9.5/10.
Overall, I’d recommend this place to any taco lover, from veggie tacos to brisket or anything in between. This place has everything, so stop by anytime to try it for yourself.
