The Knights (6-0) are the first team in the Austin area to reach that mark, and are 2-0 in district, after defeating top district rivals LBJ and SFA.

The Knights scored in the first minute of the game with a 69-yard run by Alexander Julian.

The Knights scored six of their eight touchdowns, all offensive, through the run game.

The Knights ran for 433 total yards, with 232 of those yards coming from senior running back Alexander Julian.  While Julian scored two touchdowns in the win, quarterback Max Perez accounted for five touchdowns, running for three and throwing two TD passes to wideout Mason Bryant. The final touchdown was on a short run by junior running back Jalen Sutton.

The Knights led 21-7 at the half thanks to a Mason Bryant TD catch and a Julian’s second touchdown run.

After the Maroons rebounded a bit to close the second quarter, the Knights put the game away with a knockout third quarter where Max Perez found the end zone three times.

Bryan and Sutton finished the scoring for the Knights in the fourth to make the final score 56-13.

The Knight defense was impressive most of the game stopping the Maroon passing attack several times and turning the ball over on downs.

The Knights next opponent is Travis next Friday in the annual Battle of the Bell.  Kickoff is at 7:30 at House Park.

The game will also mark the finale of the school’s annual Pink Week observance.
