Band, choir, orchestra students selected as TMEA All-State musicians

This weekend, fine arts students auditioned and were selected for the highest honor a Texas music student can receive. After performing a selection of music before the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) judges at the regional auditions, these students advanced to the TMEA area competitions.
The following musicians were selected to perform in the TMEA All-State music group:

Choir (Directors Helen Miers and Randy Cantu):
Quinlyn Tesar (12th grade), Alto 2, TMEA All-State Women’s Choir

Orchestra (Directors Ricky Pringle and Georgeann Shockley):
Matthew Weinberg (10th grade), Violin, TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra
Sam Jackson (11th grade), Bass, TMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra
Owen Morgan (12th grade), Bass, TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra
Pablo Kennedy (9th grade), Bass, TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra
William Brookhart (10th grade), Bass, TMEA All-State Philharmonic Orchestra
Louis Handy (9th grade), Bass, TMEA All-State String Orchestra
