Clinching a spot in the UIL State Finals tomorrow, Alex Lynch (’20) placed fourth in his heat (12th total) in the 100-yard breaststroke UIL prelims tonight at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center.
Lynch broke his own personal best time while advancing to State Finals.
“I’m so proud of myself,” Lynch said as his family congratulated him poolside. “But all I can do now is get ready to swim faster tomorrow.”
Lynch was the only Mac swimmer to advance into the State Preliminaries and the State Finals.
“Looking at his time as a freshman, I can only imagine where he’ll be in a few years,” said his coach Jeff Rudy. We know for sure where he’ll be tomorrow.
