“The Sign” was relased to worldwide viewers on April 14.

Bluey has yet again managed to pull on our heart’s strings and make us wish we were kids. Bluey’s latest episode, “The Sign” was released globally and on Disney+, on April 14. Months before it was heavily speculated that Ludo Studios, the department behind the show was planning on releasing a movie, but the episode was a special 28-minute episode, four times longer than the average episode. This episode was exceptional and flawless. From the funny character moments, heartfelt moments and emotional songs, it is the perfect Bluey episode.

In the new episode, Uncle Rad and Frisky, Bluey’s godmother are getting ready to have their wedding in the backyard of the Heeler house; however, there is trouble in paradise when Frisky finds out Uncle Rad made plans without her consent. Bluey also has her problem as she realizes that her house has been sold and that her family will be moving to another city since her dad got a new job.

Though it was heartbreaking to see Bluey and Bingo sad after their house was sold, it creates a scenario that kids could go through at some point in their lives. Finding out you have to move out of the house where you have created special memories and leave your friends behind at such a young age can be difficult to comprehend. Throughout the episode, Bluey tries to do everything in her power for her family to keep the house and goes as far as trying to remove the “for sale” sign at the front of her house. We don’t just see her point of view, but also her parent’s point of view. From the start Chili, seems to be uncomfortable that their house will no longer be theirs. Though she still tries to have a “fake it until you make it attitude,” she eventually breaks down in front of Bluey and Frisky admitting she doesn’t want to leave because Bluey took her first steps in that house. That’s the beauty of Bluey: it aims to also be relatable to the parents. It was also heartwarming to see Chili’s sensitive side since she has always been a tough mom who pushes her kids to the limit.

Frisky also has a problem that is similar to Bluey’s in an important way. Frisky overhears that Rad has already decided to move to the West, without her consent. Both do not want to leave their homes and are afraid of what this new change will bring for them. They are nervous about their new life changes, and it is understandable as changes are daunting since we don’t know what the future holds. A phrase that Bluey uses is “We’ll see,” which can be viewed as a vague response, but it’s the truth. For the Bluey writers and producers to address such a human concept in their episode demonstrates how special the show is to our generation. This episode had the most emotional ending that any Bluey episode has ever had; multiple viewers were left in tears. Everything about that moment was developed and conveyed perfectly. The impressive decision that Bandit took was made even more impactful by the beautiful song that played in the background, “Lazarus Drug.” The lyrics, “Everywhere at once, you’re everything where everyone who is or ever was, forever,” fit the viewers’ satisfaction after watching the characters’ joy. It felt like everything came full circle, and it was an amazing ending for this season.

Of course, this would only be a top-tier Bluey episode, with the one and only Muffin. Since this episode is longer, she receives more screen time. Muffin was hilarious and gave multiple laughs, especially when she got Bluey’s coin stuck by putting it in the wrong slot of the telescope while at the same time scarfing down her chocolate cake like there was no tomorrow. The amazing Muffin always teaches us that it is OK to be yourself even if you are a little spontaneous. Moments like these give the audience a laugh even if the episode deals with a more serious situation.

Overall, Bluey’s new episode, “The Sign” was an episode that taught us to be unafraid of what the future holds. We learned that everything works out the way it’s supposed to, and in the end, we will be all right. Though the future is uncertain for all of us, one thing is for sure, Bluey has a bright future ahead of itself and will create more powerful episodes that will make us grateful to live life.
