Last night at McCallum, the varsity basketball team fell to Travis in a very close battle with a score of 56-53. The Knights led until the fourth quarter, when they lost the lead with 3 minutes left and never regained it back. Junior Jake Holmes said they were very disappointed in their performance.
“It’s a game we really should have won,” Holmes said. “If we want to be the team we think we can be, we really need to win these type’s of games at home.”
The Knights leading scorer for the game was junior Harrison Brown with 19 points. Senior Willie Mays, and Ernie Scott both scored 8 points.
The Knights will take on key district rival LBJ on Friday, Jan. 31 in the McCallum gym.
