Marching band members shine in two Friday Night extracurriculars

Friday night lights are an iconic part of the Texas high school experience. McCallum students often find themselves in the stands, on the field and on the sidelines, some in more ways than one. Seniors Ximena de la Garza, Genesis Ritcherson, Ramiro Hinojosa and freshman Lili Escamilla found that their artistic talents with the marching band could coexist with their other passions: sports medicine, cheerleading, football and dancing in the Blue Brigade. While balancing two intense extracurriculars can be difficult, with long days filled with practice and drills, not to mention schoolwork, when the clock ticks down to halftime, these Knights shine like stars under the House Park stadium lights.
