Keegan Langley

Senior Keegan Langley’s favorite crime show is “Law & Order: SVU,” but his interest in criminology extends beyond just a favorite TV show. Langley will attend Arizona State University next year for a major in criminology.

“I’ve always had a thing for CSI cases and stuff like that,” Langley said. “I kind of do my own research. It’s cool to look at, all the cases.”

In ten years, Langley hopes to be working for the FBI, but for now, he’s focused on forming friendships that will last a lifetime. At ASU, Langley hopes to join a fraternity.

“Rushing seems fun, and I just think it would be a cool experience,” Langley said. “I like the family part of it.”

At McCallum, Langley found his closest friends on the water polo and swim teams.

“The most rewarding part has been all the friendships I’ve gained,” Langley said. “All the people I know are amazing people, and I love them to death.”

But Langley doesn’t only like to swim because of his teammates. His astrological sign is Cancer, a water sign, and whether or not all water signs have a natural inclination toward the element, Langley sure does.

“As a little kid, I grew up in California, and then my parents moved here,” Langley said. “I’ve always been around water, and I love water. It just feels nice and you can do whatever the hell you want with it.”

Langley’s experience on the water polo team affected him so positively that he plans to give back. Next year, he’ll traveling home to McCallum to assist in coaching the water polo team in his spare time. For now, Langley has other plans for leaving his mark.

“I definitely want to go out with a bang,” Langley said. “I’m going to try to get the whole senior class to sign my shirt, and just have a whole shirt to remember everybody. I think that would be pretty cool.”
