The Knights soccer team has won three straight after a slow 0-3-1 start in district play. With a win on Monday over the then first-place Travis Rebels, the Knights took over sixth place in district only three games behind third-place Lanier. Junior captain Sacco Fernandez scored the first goal for the Knights, and freshman Griffin Smith scored the game winner. Smith’s goal occurred in the final minutes to take a late lead. The Knights’ next game will be Friday against current district leader Cedar Creek in Bastrop. Photos by Adrian Peña.
